Running Fibrous Cornice

Running a Fibrous Cornice from a Mould

In older properties where damage has occured or the building has been adapated / altered, original features need not be lost.

A Fibrous Cornice can replicate a variety of original designs and features. This can be achieved by creating a template of the existing cornce, by carefully making an incision into the existing cornice in situ and drawing a template, which is then manufactured into a template mould.

Cornice work is a traditional method of adding detail to a room, and original cornice work would have been run as one during the build up of the ceiling.

The straight cornice is run in first.

Over the years, here at A.R.H. Tucker & Sons (Cleethorpes) Limited, we are proud to have not let our traditional heritage work fade.
